Privacy Policy

guix8 ("we") processes only the personal data needed to run YouTube Reader. This policy explains what we process, why, and for how long.

1. What we process

Sign-in email address: checked when an invited private-beta user signs in.
Usage records: videos you add, star or mark as read in your library, with timestamps.
Android notification token: stored only if you turn on notifications in the app.
Support email: the address and content of messages sent to contact@guix8.dev.
This company website (guix8.dev) has no sign-up and uses no analytics or advertising tools. Only your color-theme choice is stored in your browser. Fonts are loaded from the jsDelivr CDN, which receives your IP address in the process.

Sign-in and identity checks, providing your personal library, sending new-note notifications, answering support requests, and preventing abuse.

Deleted without delay when you ask or when your beta access ends.
Support emails are deleted within one year after they are resolved.
Anything we are legally required to keep is kept separately for that period only.

Anthropic, PBC (USA): processes video transcripts and comments to create notes. We do not send your email or other identifying data.
Cloudflare, Inc. (USA): sign-in (Cloudflare Access) and network delivery. Your sign-in email and access logs (IP, time) are processed.
Google LLC (USA, Firebase Cloud Messaging): Android notifications. Your notification token is processed.
ElevenLabs (USA): speech-to-text when you request it for a video without captions. No personal data is sent.
Zoho Corporation (US data center): receiving support email.
The service database holding notes and account data runs on a server we operate in South Korea. Data is transferred to the providers above over the network when you use the service and handled under each provider's security standards.

You can ask to access, correct, delete or stop processing your data at any time. Email contact@guix8.dev and we'll act within 10 days after verifying your identity.

The service is for users aged 14 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 14.

Encryption in transit (HTTPS), sign-in limited to approved emails, restricted server access, and encrypted storage of secret keys.
